JOB PURPOSE:

Coordinate weddings by managing all client details, vendors, and day-of logistics 1-3 months before until the day of the wedding. Then being on site to manage the event.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This is a part-time, contract-based position, with the ability to go full-time, all dependent on how many weddings YOU want to take on.

EXAMPLE OF LEAD COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Have planning calls with couples ahead of wedding date

  • Update and manage timelines

  • Organize couple’s decorations lists

  • Answer couple and vendor questions prior to wedding day

  • Be the point person on Wedding Day

  • Set up and sometimes tear down of couple’s decor items

  • Manage timeline and flow of events on wedding day

  • Manage challenges on the day as they arrive

REQUIREMENTS FOR LEAD COORDINATOR POSITION:

  • Lives in the state of Michigan

  • Minimum of 1 year in the wedding or event industry in a role other than intern

  • Extremely detail-oriented and very well organized

  • Ability to commit to weekend wedding days 12+ months in advance

  • Have transportation available to travel around the state of Michigan (wedding travel expenses covered outside of business radius.)

  • Ability to communicate effectively and quickly both in written and verbal formats

  • Confident, feels comfortable being in charge and managing a large group of people

  • Quick and joyful learner, fun-loving and genuine person with a sense of humor

  • Interested in growing and building with the company
