Paper Hat Bad Boss Interns

Are you looking to gain experience or further your skills in the wedding industry, or just want to see if it’s the right fit for you? Do you have a of love for checklists and does organizing give you life? We want you to be a part of our team!

ABOUT OUR INTERN POSITIONS:

Choose as many weddings and hours as you would like between May 1 – December 1, 2022. (Not available all of those months? That’s okay!) What that means is that the number of hours involved in any given week or month are determined on the number of weddings YOU choose to assist with.

Before your first wedding, we’ll have our intern “Day-Camp” where you’ll be trained in all things that go into a couple’s dream wedding. Interns will then assist a Lead Coordinator on the wedding day they are scheduled to work. This includes pre-wedding day workshops and then wedding day set up and execution.

REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERN POSITIONS:

  • Local to Grand Rapids or Traverse City surrounding areas for the Summer of 2022

  • Be able to attend 1-2 trainings either in person, or virtually

  • Extremely detail-oriented and very well organized

  • Ability to commit to weekend wedding days starting May 1, 2022 (you can choose which weekends you want to work!)

  • Have transportation available to travel around Michigan

  • Ability to communicate effectively and quickly both in written and verbal formats

  • Own, or have access to, a computer

  • Quick and joyful learner

  • Enjoys sharing ideas and working with a team in a collaborative environment

Hours: Interns can work as many, or as little weddings as they like, and they may arrive and depart whenever they prefer. Weddings and hours they want to work just need to be given in advance.

Payment: Because of the experience and company knowledge being provided, as well as the internship being as little time commitment as interns would like, this is an unpaid internship. However, interns are entitled to any gratuities presented to them by clients. Paper Hat will also complete any for-credit college intern requirements. Interns can choose however many weddings and hours they would like to work!
